HI5 = GAINS: A Mindfulness Hack

Life. It can be challenging. But, it can also be beautiful.

Mindfulness enables us to sit with ourselves and experience and appreciate the beauty.

As a certified mediation and yoga instructor, I teach mediation techniques to clients, as well as practice meditation daily.

I live by a simple practice: HI 5 = GAINS

HI 5 stands for “holistic integration” of 5 key concepts which spell out the acronym GAINS.

  • Gratitude
  • Affirmation
  • Intention
  • Networking
  • Spread kindness

By HI 5-ing each day with gratitude, affirmation, intention, networking (i.e. choosing someone to truly connect with), and spreading kindness (whether to yourself or others), we can make gains toward being our best self.
